Registration
The founder – Chan Swee Keong registered a sole-proprietorship firm with the then Registrar of Companies & Businesses known as Express Accounting Services and operated in a 20 square meters “Room” with 2 full time employees and 1 part-timer at Simon Road to provide solely on accounting, corporate secretarial and taxation services.
Recognized Corporate Secretary
Our founder, Chan Swee Keong, was recognized as an Associate Member of the Faculty of Secretaries in Guildford, England allowing him to use the title of Corporate Secretary.
Relocation
We converted the sole-proprietorship to a Company known as CHAN SWEE KEONG PRIVATE LIMITED and relocated to an office building of 75 square meters at Jalan Sultan Centre located at Jalan Sultan.
Acquisition
We acquired our first office unit of 150 square meters located at Beach Road. During this period, our manpower increased significantly.
Goods & Services Tax
Goods and Services Tax was implemented and we upgraded our accounting software to provide these additional services for clients.
Association of Taxation Technicians Singapore
Our founder, Chan Swee Keong was admitted as a Senior Founder Member of the Association of Taxation Technicians Singapore (ATTS) and entitled to the designation “STT (Founder)”.
Another Acquisition
Due to our business expansion, we acquired another office space of 65 square meters on the same level.
Rebranding and Restructuring
We underwent a rebranding and restructuring exercise in building a stronger Corporate Identity in this industry known as CSK Corporate Consultants Pte Ltd.
Appointment of Our New Joint Secretary
Our co-director, Chan May Leen, a Chartered Secretary and member of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries of Singapore (CSIS), serves as joint secretary, overseeing corporate secretarial matters for our clients.
Accredited Tax Advisory
Our director, Chan Swee Keong was admitted to Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP), [formerly known as Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals (SIATP)] and holds the designation of an “Accredited Tax Advisory (GST)”.
With the expertise in GST compliance, Chan Swee Keong specializes in helping GST-registered businesses meet their obligations through initiatives like the Assisted Compliance Assurance Programme (ACAP) and the Assisted Self-Help Kit (ASK) introduced by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) in April 2011 and January 2013 respectively.
Enhancing Governance: ACRA Registered Agents
Under the new Registered Filing Agents and Qualified Individuals regulations by the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), our firm meets the required criteria and has two qualified individuals authorized to handle transactions with the Registrar on behalf of our clients.
